The Bollywood actors with earnings of $ 33 million and $ 31.5 million respectively, are now in league with some of Hollywood’s highest paid actors. Where SRK shares the 86th place with Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr, Ghostbusters actress Melissa McCarthy, basketballer James Harden and the Dave Matthews Band, we have Akki at #94 with Brad Pitt and magician team Penn & Teller.
Bollywood’s Badshah’s earnings come from “multi-million dollar upfront fees and the cut of the backend’ in films. Part of his earnings also come from high-value endorsement deals. On the other hand, the Khiladi has confessed that he, “banked top rupee for three hit films in our scoring period” – these are likely ‘Brothers’, ‘Singh Is Bliing’ and ‘Airlift’. He also advertises products as diverse as motorcycles to a gold loan company.
At present Shah Rukh Khan has two films to hit theaters soon, one being Rahul Dholakia’s Raees and the other being Gauri Shinde’s with Alia Bhatt. Akshay on his part has a murder mystery ‘Rustom’ set on real life incident to release soon.
